Welcome!

Hello and Welcome to my webpage! Whether you're an employer looking for possible candidates or someone just killing time, please make yourself at home.

Personal and Academic Background

I was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana where I graduated from C.E. Byrd High School. My hobbies and interests include Fishing, Snow skiing, Duck hunting and playing Golf. I also am a huge sports fan. These hobbies allow me to travel, and spend time outdoors, with friends and family.
In August 2000, I received my bachelor's degree in Geology from
Louisiana State University. Not wanting to dive straight into graduate studies, I moved back to Shreveport and began the task of finding a job. Here I found employment with a small Geophysical firm, specializing in oil and gas exploration. I was able to gain knowledge of many computer applications as well as being exposed to a variety of aspects in the Oil and Gas business. The experience was an essential one, yet in December 2000 I decided that I was ready for graduate school. In January 2001, I accepted a graduate assistantship here at Texas Christian University, thus, officially becoming a horned frog.

Thesis Project

My thesis project is a depositional environment study of Miocene sands in a producing oil and gas field located in southeastern Louisiana. The project is a joint study being completed for and funded by Bass Enterprises and Production Co..
Faculty Supervisor: Dr. John Breyer

Career Objectives

In December 2002, I hope to begin my career as a geologist with an Oil and Gas exploration company. An entry-level position with the opportunity for advancement and career success is ideal. If you would like to review my credentials please download my resume page.
