A History of Myself

Hi! Welcome to my webpage. My name is Tara Rudiger. No, I am not related to Rudy who played football for Notre Dame. That would be pretty cool though. Anyway, I am an Environmental Science major and will graduate in December of 2001. I have had a great 4 years here at TCU and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Well except for a few classes. I am thinking about continuing my education at TCU to get a masters in Environmental Science. This field of study has been very challenging so far but that is what I love about it. There is so much work to be done in this area. But before I decide to get an eight to five job, I have alot of crazy ideas about places I want to go and things I want to do first, so I might take a semester off and explore the world a little bit.

I am a true Texan and proud of it! I thought this picture was too perfect! There is nothing better than Blue Bell ice cream, besides maybe barbeque ribs and some potato salad. Well I was born in the great city of Ft. Worth but grew up in Arlington for most of my childhood. Well here I am again back in Ft. Worth.

Family & Friends

I come from a small family but one that is so important to me. My parents have always been there for me and being so close to home has been great. My big brother is one of my best friends. He always let me tag along when we were younger...that is probably why I was such a tomboy. He is a successful businessman now and he just married an awesome girl last summer. It is so cool to have a sister! Well I guess my biggest family is the soccer team. I played soccer for TCU all four years of college. Since I spent most of my time on the soccerfield or traveling with these girls, we became really close. Most of my favorite college experiences were with this group of girls. However, in the past year or so I have gotten to know a few awesome people from the Environmental Science and Geology departments. These guys and girls are crazy! Some of the best times with this group included a Spring Break trip to Big Bend. Take a look at some pictures of my family and friends.

Oh! I can't forget two important members of my family at home. I have two Boxers that are so much fun.

My best friend of all is my fiance. We both played soccer here at TCU so that is basically how we met. He is a huge part of my life and I cant wait to spend the rest of my life with him. Here is a picture of us at the Bass Hall in downtown. The second picture is of the soon-to-be inlaws when we went to Colorado.

Hobbies & Interests

My favorite activities include playing soccer, watching soccer, and coaching soccer. Ok, I do have a life outside of soccer. I love to do things outdoors. I love going camping, fishing, and hiking and skiing.(If you enjoy doing outdoor stuff, then Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has a website with lots of programs and acitivities for anyone). I also enjoy playing golf, that is if I don't take it too seriously. We won't discuss my scores or my handicap. I also love to go horseback riding but you can't find too many places around here that will let you run them. They make you walk them in a line the whole time and that is no fun! I also love to travel, even though I haven't been outside of the U.S. Most of my travelling adventures were with the soccer team. These are a few of my adventures to Yosemite N.P., Sequoia N.P, San Francisco,Hawaii, and Big Bend N.P.

Pearl Harbor Memorial in Hawaii

Places I would like to go: Tahiti - Bora Bora , Ireland , Alaska

Well thanks for visiting my website. I will leave you with this quote. No it is not my own quote but I love it!

"History has proven,

God has never given anyone a dream

Without also including the power to achieve that dream;

It is up to us to claim the power and go after that dream,

Or just claim, it was only a dream.",
