I travelled along the French Riviera in to the Italian Riviera, to an area called Cinque Terre. All I can say is that it was beautiful! One of the spectacular places on the trip! The locals were extremely friendly, and the food was the best Italian that I had eaten anywhere. I think that it was much better than the food in Florence. The atmosphere was entirely different. I had hooked up with four other people on the train in Riamaggiore and spent the evening drinking wine, eating pasta and bread, listening to a world-class orchestra playing Rocmaninoff, with a statue of David near by.
