Environmental Science
Welcome, allow me to introduce myself.
I was originally born in Roswell, New Mexico - my father jokes that I was really assembled from a kit he found on sale at Sears Roebuck & Co.. My father worked for General Dynamics - Ft. Worth and my family was stationed overseas for three and a half years. During that time, we were able to travel to many places that I would never have been able to see otherwise. My two favorite places were: Bangkok and London. A few of the other places that I have been are: Korea, Israel, Hawaii, Greece and attempting to see the monster in Loch Ness (I was 7 at the time O.K.) Fort Worth Has been my home since 1978 and I like to think of myself as an adopted Texan.
I will graduate from TCU in May of '96 with a B.S. in Environmental Science. Originally, I transferred into TCU as a two year mechanical engineering student but, because I entered during an odd semester, I was unable to take any of my core engineering courses. I talked to Dr. Leo Newland , director of Environmental Science, and after discussing my options with him, decided to take an overview of his program. Approximately half-way through the semester I changed my major to Environmental Science and have never looked back.
...and now ...
You have two choices. You can read on and discover what I like and the links that I have "discovered" or you can simply pause the prose and read my links in a simple list If you want, you may check out what really drives me crazy .
From the Far Side - Ramblings on the Net
It is rather ironic that I chose to label this section "From the Far Side" because, although I like Gary Larson's cartoon and find his sense of humor refreshingly disturbed, I find the antics of those two cultural icons, Calvin and Hobbes much more entertaining. I have been amazed by the number of humorous sites available on the web and I recommend that you stop by and see Professor Falken (check out the Same Site of the Day a parody of the ever popular SotD's like Nascar race on - especially if #3 is running good. Don't even start the argument that I watch it for the wrecks. I try to catch the British comedies on PBS on the weekend and the X-Files - No, I don't believe, but it's a heck of a good show. Finally, I normally don't watch it, but I always try to find out what Letterman's Top Ten. was.
Finally, I have some links that I have come across that are useful for me - maybe you'll find some use for them. If you want see what the weather is before you go out or on a trip, you need to check out Weather Links USA or The National Weather Service Text Menu . If you live in Dallas - Ft. Worth present conditions and the forecast are available here. And finally, if you live in Texas, or are just plain curious, anyone can get all the Lotto Texas information they want thanks to the Texas Government.
