Hi! My name is Beth, welcome to my web page! Let me tell you a little about myself. To start with I am 23 years old and live in Fort Worth, Texas. I am a senior at Texas Christian University were I am working on a bachelor's degree in Environmental Earth Resources. This is my third year at TCU. Previously I attended the University of Oklahoma, where I majored in education. My first semester here at TCU I got stuck taking a geology class because all of the biology classes were full and after a few weeks I had fallen in love with it and changed my major. Sounds like a great story but, I had just started my forth year in college, so changing majors meant adding on an extra year and a half. I thought my father was going to shoot me, but he took the news pretty well once I explained that I should be able to earn more money with this degree - you know how Dads are! I grew up here in Fort Worth with my mother, father and older sister, Heather. Heather is a graduate student at Harvard where she is working on her master's degree in English and Literature (which worry's my dad!).But, he is glad that we will both be finished in May and he will no longer have to pay tuition. I am definitely looking forward to graduating. I have been in school just a little to long now! I have loved being at TCU, which is so much smaller than OU! Not that I didn't have fun there. OU is great if you want an active social life! But, here at TCU the classes are so much smaller and my professors actually know my name. Another great benefit I have encountered here at TCU was I was able to go to Scotland this summer where I had the time of my life and actually earned six hours credit! It was a wonderful experience and I recommend it highly! Edinburgh was an amazing environment for learning, especially for geology! I had an incredible time, it was so difficult to come home. I fell in love with the city of Edinburgh, it's a beautiful city, a little cold and wet but beautiful. The people there are so nice and friendly and the pubs and dance clubs are great also. I highly recommend the Firkin and Liquid Room. While in Scotland I also made many new friends, which was great! I also gained a new interest while I was there - soccer (or should I say football). So, since I have been home I have continued to follow the sport. I mainly follow the Dallas Burn, since they are local. But, while I was in Scotland I made a friend who has been kind enough to keep me updated on the Scottish National Team and the Aberdeen Football Club.

Here are a few pictures of my friends and I in Edinburgh this summer!

here Callie, myself, and Robin are enjoying a few beers at the Firkin while watching the world cup.

After a few weeks we (Callie, Myself, Amy, and Robin)found ourselves a little homesick for American food so we treated ourselves to dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe!
