LAB 3 - Igneous Rock Identification
LAB 4 - Sedimentary Rock Identification
LAB 5 - Metamorphic Rock Identification
MID-TERM EXAM - tentatively mid-October
The mid-term will require you to identify 25 rocks and minerals based on their physical properties based on a pool of about 58 different rocks and minerals. It is important that you learn and understand how to identify these in the first 5 weeks of lab. 33% of grade.
LAB 6 - Reading and Making Maps
LAB 7 - Contour Maps and Topography
LAB 8 - Sequencing Geologic Events
LAB 9 - Geologic Map Construction
LAB 10 - Texas Geology and Map Interpretation
LAB 11 - Plate Tectonics
