Welcome to Callie's Page

Hi! My name is Callie Davenport, and I am a student at TCU. My major is environmental earth resources (which is basically a geology degree). I love rocks and always have since I was a little girl. I would bring home all kinds of rocks and fossils and store them in my closet. That's why when I was given a chance to go with the Geology program to Scotland I jumped at the chance. It is the best trip I have ever been on, and I would recommend that everyone go to TCU in Scotland.. I had a blast and got to know my friends better (especially my best friend Beth Hughes). I really missed my own bed while I was there (The beds in Scotland don't exactly fit my six foot body). I did missed my family, too. My family consists of my mom and dad (David and Myra), my sister, Stephanie, her two children, Natalie and Austin, and my brother Brett, his wife Donetta, and their little girl Corrissa.
Plus living in the city of Edinburgh was a change too, since I have lived in the country all my life. I have lived in the same house in the suburbs of Fort Worth, Texas since I was 2 years old. Since my parent have 50 acres I have grown up with all sorts of animals for pets. My favorite was my pet squirrel named Little John. My mother made me let him go and to this day I still miss that squirrel, but I have other pets now like my dogs Tequilla and Drago. Tequilla's a mut with some Australian shepard in her, and Drago is a full blooded English mastiff. He's my HUGE puppy (Well, he's not a puppy anymore, he's 2). I also have a black and white cat named Maggie.
I also have a very unsual hobby. I collect knives and swords. To date I have about 35 knives, 12 swords, a cross bow, an axe, and a spear. People usually find the fact that a women who likes to collect sharp objects is very disturbing, but let me reassure you that I'm not a physco who goes around stabbing everyone (just those three and they deserved it-JUST KIDDING!)
I must also mention the fact that I'm getting married June, 24th of 2000 to my long time boyfriend, Christopher Brown. He is also from my home town, and we actually met in high school and started dating the end of my senior year. We have many of the same interests like fishing, hunting, camping, swimming, and many other things. The one thing I wish Chris liked doing is going to the movies. I love going all the time and he only likes going every once in a while. Oh well, nobody's perfect.
