My main research focuses on the evolution of the Peninsular Ranges of southern and BajaCalifornia, in particular, I am interested in:
- Active strike-slip faulting, deformation, and plate boundary evolution of the Baja California peninsula
- Terrane
accretion and its effects on continental margin systems
- Structural
and tectonic evolution of the Peninsular Ranges batholith of southern and Baja California
- Temporal
and spatial variation of displacement fields (i.e. translation, rotation,
strain, and volume change) in magmatic arcs
- Application
of paleomagnetic techniques and detrital zircon geochronology to provenance
studies
- Correlations
between strain, paleomagnetism, and the Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility
