Peninsular Ranges

My main research focuses on the evolution of the Peninsular Ranges of southern and BajaCalifornia, in particular, I am interested in:

  1. Active strike-slip faulting, deformation, and plate boundary evolution of the Baja California peninsula
  2. Terrane accretion and its effects on continental margin systems
  3. Structural and tectonic evolution of the Peninsular Ranges batholith of southern and Baja California
  4. Temporal and spatial variation of displacement fields (i.e. translation, rotation, strain, and volume change) in magmatic arcs
  5. Application of paleomagnetic techniques and detrital zircon geochronology to provenance studies
  6. Correlations between strain, paleomagnetism, and the Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility
